Our founder, Kody, just spent his lunch break watching highly curated Instagram reels about breaking phone addiction. We don’t know whether to be disappointed or proud[1].
He’s not alone. The average person spent 1,820 hours staring at their phone in the past year. But nobody wakes up and thinks that scrolling on their phone is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Our attention is relentlessly tugged by push notifications, short-form content, and advertisements. The companies providing this content have never been better at sucking us in and keeping us engaged. We keep coming back.
But, what if we just… didn’t?
What would you do instead?
You could read near the window on a quiet morning. Pursue a hobby. Learn a skill. Call your mom. Live with more intention.
And that’s what it really comes down to. At Analog Pace, we value setting time aside to do the things we care about.
And we are ready to sell you those things (soon).
Everything in our shop - notebooks, pens, stationery, books, art supplies, hobby items, educational materials, tactile goods - is carefully selected to support intentional living away from the screen.
We don’t just stock a hundred sketchbooks; we do the research and stock the sketchbook that someone like us would actually want.
(If you spend your lunch break scrolling through sketchbooks on our website, something has gone terribly wrong.)
We’ll even accept orders via hand-written letter[2].
Sincerely,
The Analog Pace Team
1 We’re proud; his heart’s in the right place.
2 It’s true. We like getting mail.
PS: Yes, we put this on a screen. We hate it too.
